Montrose Kitchen Craftsman Style Remodel
Montrose Kitchen Craftsman Style Remodel
This Montrose kitchen was updated to keep with the craftsman style historic bungalow. The entire house was re-plumbed and rewired. The rotten flooring was re-framed. A wall was removed to open the area to the living room to allow for more space to entertain. The ceilings were raised in the kitchen and Solatube sun tunnel type skylights were installed for natural lighting. The cabinets and peninsula are white custom shaker style. Above cabinet and under cabinet LED lighting was installed to provide plenty of task lighting and ambiance. Reclaimed wood was laid for flooring and used for window sills. A unique feature of this Montrose kitchen remodel is an original wood stove brick chimney accent wall. The owners needed a place to store garden tools so we built them a custom bench. The kitchen also has a built in wine cooler and a “hidden” laundry room and pantry.
