KEVIN C. VICK EARNS CERTIFIED GREEN PROFESSIONAL EDUCATIONAL DESIGNATION

Houston March 24, 2015 – Kevin C. Vick, of  Vick Construction & Remodeling is now one of the select group of professionals nationwide to earn the Certified Green Professional™ (CGP) educational designation, identifying him as a remodeling professional with the skills and the best strategies for incorporating green building principles into new home and remodeling projects.

Vick Construction & Remodeling provides turn-key home remodeling, additions and restoration services that range from the simplest repair to the most challenging remodel, addition, or construction project.  We are a “quality first” driven company which prides itself in improving the world in which our clients live and work. Our projects range from period restoration, remodeling, new construction, additions, to kitchens, baths, family rooms, and more all over Sugar Land and Houston, Texas and surrounding areas.

The CGP curriculum includes three days of training from leading building industry practitioners and academics on a range of topics, including strategies for integrating green building principles into homes using cost‐effective methods of construction.

Coursework is based on the ICC 700 National Green Building Standard, the only ANSI‐approved rating system for green homes, developments and remodeling projects. The standard includes sections on energy, water and resource efficiency; indoor environmental quality; lot and site development; and home owner education.

Administered by the National Association of Home Builders, the CGP program is sponsored locally by Greater Houston Builders Association.

“I look forward to helping home owners and home buyers in Houston create green, sustainable homes built to save resources as well as utility costs,” said Kevin Vick.
